About Us

Management Team

When looking at any successful organization you will find many educated and dedicated employees, this is no different with Noga Ambulance. In addition to our EMT’s, Paramedics, Dispatchers, & Office Staff our Management Team has over 86 years of combined employment with Noga Ambulance and well over 120 years of combined Public Safety experience. Our management team members not only provide leadership and vision for Noga Ambulance but serve in key roles in many local and regional Emergency Medical Service Organizations.


Brian Shaw

An employee of Noga Ambulance since 1991, Brian is responsible for the overall planning, development and operation of the ambulance service. Benefiting from his Associate and Bachelors degrees in Emergency Medical Technology from YSU, Brian has served as the President of EMS Lawrence County Council for the past eight years and currently serves on the Executive Board at the Emergency Medical Services Institute.

In addition he chairs both the Regional Communications and the Advanced Airway Training Committees for EMSI in our 10 County region. A Firefighter since 1985 and a Paramedic since 1992, Brian is a lifetime member of the Scott Township Fire Department and continues to work as a Flight Paramedic.

Alan Martino

An employee of Noga Ambulance since 1991, Alan’s primary duties of Quality Assurance and Employee Education are enhanced by his background as a Registered Nurse. Alan was instrumental in bringing the Paramedic Program to Lawrence County in 1994 and continues to teach First Responder, EMT, & Paramedic classes.

He is actively involved with EMS Lawrence County Council and the Quality Assurance Committee at the Emergency Medical Services Institute.

A Firefighter since 1988 and a Paramedic since1990 he continues to serve the Franklin Township Fire Department as their Assistant Chief.

 

Shawn Johnson

An employee of Noga Ambulance since 1990 and a recent graduate of The National Academies of Emergency Dispatch Communication Center Manager Course, Shawn’s primary duties include the direct supervision of our Dispatch Center and Employee Development.

A Firefighter since 1989 and a Paramedic since 1994 Shawn serves on the Medical Advisory Committee for EMS Lawrence County Council and also works with the New Castle Fire Department.

mark Sodersten

An employee of Noga Ambulance since 1994 Marks’ primary duties include the management of all supplies and vehicles. This is a position that is instrumental in the operation of the ambulance service on a 24 hours basis. Mark is a certified Zoll service technician, EVOC instructor, Chairman of the Noga Ambulance Certified Safety Committee and provides the primary employee review of our DriveCam Safety Program.

A Firefighter since 1991 and a Paramedic since 1995 Mark is a current Member of the Scott Township Fire Department.


Captains

Our Paramedic Captains maintain the primary responsibility of our direct field supervision. You will see them in this role on many of your emergency calls working hand in hand with our other employees. This working relationship ensures that we maintain a continuum of care throughout our operation.
